Well, it's official. Asa is now mobile and crawling everywhere. He has been really frustrated over the last month and wouldn't play by himself because he wanted to move around so badly. He was fine as long as Jess or I were putting out our hands for him to pull up with and stand. For the last week or so he is as content as he can be playing by himself, even when we leave the room for a few minutes b/c he knows he can crawl around if he wants to. After a several minutes, if we don't return to the room, he just crawls around trying to find us.
It's also fun now b/c I can play hide and seek with him while he chases me around the house. We know the implications of his mobility. We've already child-proofed the house and are on guard more now that he can get into EVERYTHING within his little reach.
He's still Mr. Smiles whenever he sees a camera. The other day one of Jess' friends was changing the batteries in her camera and it caught Asa's eye and so he proceeded to look at the camera until someone acknowledged him and let him know that she wasn't really taking a picture. We just can't figure out where he gets wanting to be the center of attention from :)
