from the snow to the sand

In an 8 day stretch Asa got to experience the extremes of snow and sand for the first time. He definitely took to the beach more than he did the snow. Yesterday we took a much needed break to go to the beach with some friends to relax and soak up the 80 degree sun. To see more pictures go to the link on the right.

Let's hit the slopes!

We had a great time out in Colorado skiing with the Middlebrooks clan. We had over 20 inches of snow while we were there and the skiing was great. Asa, unfortunately, wasn't able to go skiing just yet but I can't wait to get him out there on the slopes in the next couple of years.

beans, beans...good for your heart

I had to put this picture of Asa from yesterday as he pigged out on black beans. We want to thank all of you have been praying for Asa's appetite and that he would begin gaining weight. For the past 3 or 4 days he has been eating like a horse. It is really an answer to prayer.

He has begun to have more of an interest in letting go of things around him and wanting to walk more. He is also jabbering up a storm, especially when we are driving in the car. I think he might be a talker like his dad :).
